Natural beach:
Cala Algaiarens

This cove - also known as "La Vall" - lies in a protected area known as "Natural Area of Special Interest".

The protected area comprises the region from Cala Morell to La Vall and also includes the beaches and dunes.

These are two calm sandy beaches located on a private property (according to Spanish law, beaches must be made available to the public).

The easier accessible one is "Els Tancats" and the one lying behind is called "Platja d'Es Bot".

On the western side there is a fishermen's cove, "Ses Fontanelles".

Watch out for jellyfish!

These beaches are the closest ones to Ciutadella; Just follow the signs for either Cala Morell or La Vall or Algaiarens.

Shortly before Cala Morell, turn right. There is an electronic sign that indicates whether the two car parks (one 300 the other 500 metres from the beach) are full or empty.

You can also access the beaches via the Camí de Cavalls from Cala Morell (approximately 3.4 kilometers)
