This beach - also called Cala Fontanelles - is located 11 kilometres north of Ciutadella between the Punta de S'Après (also: Punta Blanca) and Ses Fontanelles.
The island Escull de Ses Vinyoles. is well visible from the coast.
It is primarily used by boat owners because the bay is well sheltered from the strength of the sea on the north coast.
In the same bay there is also the somewhat softer beach of Algaiarens.
