Cala'n Bosch

Cala'n Bosch is one of Menorca's few purpose-built modern holiday resorts.
Among other facilities, you find a family-friendly water park and mini-golf.
Two boats operate out of Cala'n Bosch marina for trips to see the isolated beaches and views of the rugged coastline.
Scuba-diving is also popular out of the harbour.
Its small marina forms the centre of the resort.
If you want to explore the resort the lazy way, there is a mini-train which runs around Cala'n Bosch and neighbouring Cap d'Artrutx and Son Xoriguer.

Getting there:
The transfer to
Cala'n Bosch from the airport is probably one of the longest on Menorca and might take anything from 50 minutes to 1 hour.
The main
ME-1 road takes you most of the way, passing the villages of
Alaior,
Es Mercadal and
Ferrerias en route. You do, however, not need to drive into
Ciutadella but can take the
Ronda Sur which is the southern by-pass. You will see a sign pointing to
Cap d'Artruix which is next to
Cala'n Bosch.
(At the roundabout leading to the
Ronda Sur you‘ll see the construction firm
Tolo Pons; that is where you turn left coming from Mahon.)
Once on the
Rond Sur, you will pass the resorts of
Santandria
  and
Cala Blanca and follow the road straight to
Cap d‘Artruix where you turn left at the roundabout of the
Viva Menorca hotel.
The marina
The focal point of
Cala‘n Bosch is its large man-made marina, commonly known as the
lago.
The marina has 270 mooring points and the harbour is the closest one to the coast of Mallorca.
The access to the
lago is somewhat limited by a bridge which is 6.80 metres high at its central point.
The
lago proudly boasts a blue flag status.
It offers:
- a shipyard
 - a gas station
 - water and electricity supply
 - showers and toilets
 - metereological information
 - internet service (Wifi connection in most bars)
 - clothes shops
 - waiting dock
 - a loading and unloading area
 - car hire
 - bicycle rental (there is a bike lane to Ciutadella)
 - bus service to Ciutadella and other places
 - boat trips to unspoilt beaches
 - plenty of bars and restaurants (beach-side and around the harbour) ...

The promenade was refurbished and newly asphalted in 2010.
The beach
Cala'n Bosch has a deep fine white sandy beach set in a protective bay.
